Energy Markets & Analytics - Analyst/Consultant (Australia)

Ultimately, another friendly face in the office, and another person to join our growing Australian office.

We advise the organisations at the heart of the energy transition, providing economic, commercial and strategic consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments and regulators. Examples of our work in Europe and globally include company and asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, optimising portfolios from fuel contracting to generation dispatch, developing hedging strategies for vertically integrated energy companies, and advising government on the costs and benefits of different future energy policy options.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance, engineering, utilities or consulting join our growing Energy Markets and Analytics team in Sydney. You will be familiar with the economic fundamentals of electricity markets, and passionate about addressing the challenges of the rapidly changing energy sector. 

Here are a few of our requirements:

  • Analytical degree, in the fields of maths, sciences, engineering, finance, operations, or research
  • Comfortable in handling data and numerical analysis
  • Demonstrated aptitude and appetite for using analysis to solve client problems, and clarity in explaining methods and concepts
  • Personable and professional, with excellent communication and presentation skills and an effective team player
  • Energy sector experience desirable but not essential (skills more important than knowledge)
