Corporate Human Resources Business Partner

We have a small team of dedicated and talented HR professionals, taking responsibility for all “people” aspects of the business. This includes the whole employee life cycle, from attracting new joiners, on-boarding, development throughout their career, ensuring they work in a balanced and healthy way, supporting them when needed, enabling efficient and effective processes throughout, every day, for their entire journey at Baringa.  As we continue to grow organically, we need to ensure our people processes are set up to enable the future size and shape of the business to operate effectively and efficiently, using the appropriate tools. Supporting the ever evolving business needs and being a key player in the change management of the firm, is a core part of this role.

We are now looking for an experienced HR Manager or HR Business Partner to join us to work with the HR team and the wider business.  This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a leading consultancy in a role that is both operational and strategic.  

What will you be doing?

Activities will include:

  • HR Strategy

    • Contribute to the development of a global HR function strategy and objectives

    • Build a strong relationship and dialogue with the relevant sponsors within the People Strategy Exec as well as the People Process Implementation Exec (PPI)

    • Build a strong relationship with assigned part of the business as the lead HR professional, working closely with the business and SME HR team members, and across countries where required

    • Lead and/or support recruitment of new team members as required.  Lead, coach and manage within the HR team where appropriate

    • Develop and implement appropriate knowledge management systems to support own professional areas and contribute and share knowledge within the HR function

  • HR Projects

    • Drive to completion a key project within HR: leading the review, refresh and simplification of our people policies for all employees

    • Participate in the implementation of Workday from a strategic, behavioural and operational perspective

    • Participate in broader HR or cross-company projects/initiatives as required

  • Contribute as an active member within internal committees; including People Champions, Culture Club, Balance Baringa, etc.

  • HR-Operations:

    • Lead the delivery of top quality HR operations, supported by effective and efficient processes and tools

    • Actively drive continuous improvement of our HR services by identifying areas for improvement and then manage or provide input to improvement initiatives

    • Drive the continued embedding of a supportive performance management, talent management and career development culture across the business

    • Coordinate and oversee the mid and end of year reviews, quarterly promotions and salary reviews

  • HR MI

    • Support the continued improvement of our People Dashboard

    • Improve access, quality and efficiency of MI, ensuring BU Leads have the necessary people information to perform well and in a timely manner

Characteristics & Experience Desired:

  • Strong experience in HR policy change management (organisational and cultural behaviour change) as well as the implementation of new processes and policies

  • Strong experience of successfully running HR operations and performance management in previous roles, as well as managing a team

  • An excellent communicator who can help develop good HR practice with a strong stakeholder management capability, to interact effectively with the appropriate management teams as well as the wider business at Baringa

  • Good team player, who works collaboratively to achieve goals and objectives

  • A self-motivated individual who can work on their own initiative, with a “can do” attitude, willing to roll-up their sleeves and “get stuck in”

  • Professional, personable and people-focused individual

  • Experience in professional services would be ideal

  • Technical Skills & Qualifications Desired:

  • CIPD qualification would be desirable

  • Proficient knowledge of Human Resource Management best practice

  • Proficient in MS Office applications – in particular MS Excel to an advanced level
